Mazate

My new area in San Pancho hasn't had light the entire day so we had to go to a different area and find an internet to write! So a quick update on the life!! I'm in San Francisco...Mazate!! Closeish to where I started my mission. I'm with Hermana Gonzalez, another Mexican and I'm so happy because I love them so much. She's the cutest and has such a happy spirit. The lord has really blessed me with amazing, happy, and nice companions I couldn't be happier! The area is so big and its so nice because it is hot, but not unbearably hot. Like I haven't sweated this week! Well that would be a lie, only that I haven't sweated a ton in these past days! So the heart is happy.

We're working with a woman named Wendy who is so awesome and we're hoping that she gets baptized this coming week! She has a really strong testimony of the church, she just always says that she's scared she's going to fail God. So we're trying to help her build her faith and get through it! This change is going to be SOOO busy! We have 6 sets of sister missionaries in our zone and 4 of them are in their trainings! In the mission we do practices with every set of sisters that are in their training every week!!! And they live really far away from us and we have to do intercambios! So it's going to be crazy hectic trying to get everything done, but that also makes it exciting!

I love Guatemala, my companion, and the people! I love feeling the influence of my Savior in everything that I do. I love that now I have the thought to ask God what to do before I ask myself and I hope that I can always continue to live my life like that.

A big happy birthday to the prophet Thomas S. Monson!!! Wahoo 90 years! What a guy.. his only request was that we do something nice for someone! That we do service. I love that invitation and I invite everyone to do it, to give service!! ALWAYS!!!

2 Nephi 5:27... vivimos de una manera feliz. We are Mormons, we're happy because we have the whole truth of the gospel and of our Savior. I love to be a Mormon, I love to explain what it means to be a Mormon and the reason that we are happy and that we can live in a happy way!

I love you all!!
Have a good week!!!!!

Hola

Fernando's baptism

Today we went hiking to a really beautiful waterfall and my foot got stuck in a giant puddle of mud, it was funny! haha:)

Not a lot of updates this week because I still don't have information on my transfers. All I know is that the legacy of Hermana Morales and Hermana Bracha has come to an end in Tznununa. She's going to another area and I'm getting transferred out of the zone. So we're very sad here. BUT we're happy with everything that has happened while we have been here.

A big shout out to the bread man who kept us alive here, the drunk guy who would always talk to me in English, and the other guy that would always "meow" at us. We're really going to miss good old Tznununa, but the new area will have good experiences too:)

I love to be a missionary!!! I find myself saying that a lot, but honestly it makes me just so happy to be able to always talk about God with everyone and how wonderful that He is. This week we were walking down the street when it started to rain SO HARD I couldn't even see because it was just raining SO hard. There was literally not one person in the street and we said to each other "okay.. so what do we do? we don't have any appointments right now, and there isn't anyone in the street to talk with.." and we didn't say anything for like three minutes just thinking and standing there, when I said, "Hermana Morales, lets go see Fernando (the kid who got baptized this past week) !! and she said, "YA, I was thinking the same thing! lets go!!" Fernando lives in a house with a lamina roof so you just about can't hear anything when you're inside and I was thinking there was no way that he was going to be able to her us calling for him. But he ran outside of his house and said, "HERMANAS I was just thinking about you guys! I was reading the Book of Mormon and I think I'm a little confused, Nephi has a complicated life!" hahah, it was so amazing because really we were able to see that God does everything in this work. Something as small as an idea to go visit someone. For us it was such a big answer to pray because we were able to help him learn and keep progressing in the gospel and doing the small and important things to keep us close with God.

I was thinking about all the good things that God helps us think to do, but then sometimes we don't do them. Every good impression that comes to us is an invitation from God. God always listens to our prayers and hears us and responds to us. It's just up to us to then act on the response.

I love my Savior so much and am so grateful for everything He does in this work. I love Guatemala and the people here.

Happy week!!!

My zone is incredible!!

We are 14 missionaries and we are the smallest zone in the mission and we had 20 baptisms this month!!!!!!!!!!!!! wahoooo!!!!!!!!!!

Andy and Juan got baptized this Saturday and afterwards we went to the baptism of the assistants and the ZLs of our zone and President and Hermana Goodman came. This was probably the most special baptism ever because there were 7 missionaries and the presidents there!! We called it white night because 8 people got baptized in this ward. It was amazing. Also during the baptism we sang "I Stand All Amazed" and I got chills.

Hermana Morales and I are still kicking it here in tiny Tznununa and we love it! Changes are the 16th of August so we'll see what happens in a few weeks.

Fernando is getting baptized this Saturday and he is so excited and yesterday told us that he wanted to serve a mission. So we're already working with him on mission stuff... I LOVE GUATEMALA AND TO BE A MISSIONARY!!!! The work here is hard, but so amazing!

Carlos is doing so awesome and I can't believe that he only has a couple weeks being a member. Talking with him you would think he has a ton of years in the church. I have such a strong testimony of this church and know that it's the truth. I love to be a missionary and everything that we do. I hope everyone understands the importance to know that YOU are a child of God.

A big happy 25th birthday to my MOM!!! hahahah and happy day to Syd and Bron for number 6 nephew PAUL!!!!!!!! And happy birthday to my first nephew Asher.

Love you all!!!!!!!!
Hermana Bracha

Just a couple updates!

Carlos got baptized!! 3 months after working with us, 7 months of going to church, and he finally did it!! He was so excited and we have really seen an amazing change in him. He came to church in a TIE! Which is a stinking miracle because he always told us how much he HATED ties haha.

I'll be playing the piano in stake conference in a couple of weeks, so here's hoping I don't have changes or they're going to get really mad here in REU:) hahah.

Andy and Juan (2 brothers of 14 and 12) are getting baptized this Saturday and a 19 year old named Fernando the next week!!! We are seeing so many miracles here, and in an area that everyone said was dead! God is blessing us so much! I love to be a missionary and work in the work of the LORD! He is so good to us. "Earth has no sorrow that heaven can't cure." God literally gives us all the help that we need, we just have to trust in Him that His plan is better than ours.

I love my savior and I'm so grateful for what He did. I know that this is the truth and I am so grateful that I get to be here in Guatemala working in this marvelous work!
*2 Nephi 32:7-- God gives us the truth, but its up to us if we follow it, or choose to ignore it. everything that we do is based on the desire.

Love you all and wishing a happy chapina day!
Hermana Bracha
