Living the good life.

This week was so fun because I got to see my FAVORITE Hermana Periera, but sadly I don't have pics...maybe in like 6 weeks I'll have them haha! She came to work in our area for a little bit and it was so fun, love her!

Today was a good day, but I got SO sunburnt because we played beach volleyball. It was so fun and totally worth it!
Andy's Baptism

ANDY finally got baptized! It was crazy and we tried so hard for him, but finally he was able to do it. It was such a miracle that his mom gave us permission and it was just such a good day:) He was so excited and the whole day was calling us saying, "Hermanas, let's just do it already, I wanna get baptized!" He's the cutest and I can't wait for when he gets to be a missionary!!!

We had a ton of miracles this week, but also a lot of disappointments. But I know that God is going to help us this coming week to find new people to teach! Our area is tiny and it's a little hard to find new people, but I know that we will do it:) I love to be a missionary and especially here with my Guatemalan people!

Hermana Jimenez is now in my zone so I got to see her the other day and she is just too darn cute! I'm blessed by my adorable Mexican companions, love them:) I know that this church is true and I love my savior so so much! I love this work and can't believe that I have already been here 10 months! Where does the time go?
Matching Outfits, who can resist?

Love you all and hope everyone is so good!
Love your chapina,

Greatest week...

1. Fabian got baptized
2. We don't have transfers
3. I killed a rat with a broom
4. I got to wear typical Guatemalan clothing
5. We found a GNC (Golden New Contact)

The list could go on for days, but this week was so good!! This adorable man named Fabian got baptized and he was so stinking happy and honestly had a light about him after his baptism and on Sunday when he got confirmed. It was so amazing.

Fabian's Baptism
Hermana Morales and I will be staying in Tzununa together this next transfer and I'm actually really excited because we have a lot of things and people going here and we're going to have a ton of baptisms this upcoming month! Wahoo!! God loves His children and He is helping us a lot here!!!

The funniest thing that happened though was that I FINALLY killed the giant rat that has been living in the house FOREVER!! We got home one night and we heard it in the kitchen so I grabbed the broom and Hermana Morales grabbed her shoes. She was throwing shoes all over the place and I was trying to bash it with the broom. About 20 minutes later after running all over the house we finally did it! Hahaha, finally we have been able to sleep in peace!!!!

Also Andy and Francisco are getting baptized this Saturday:) It was so cute because Andy shared his testimony yesterday in sacrament meeting!! He got up and said, "I know that I'm not baptized yet, but I just know that this is the true gospel on the earth and I'm so grateful that I get to come to this church every week. I can't wait until I finally get to get baptized and be a member". Then afterwards he told us that he had talked with his mom about getting permission. So long story short, THIS SATURDAY!!! YAHOOOO!!! It was so cute and I was practically crying when he shared his testimony. I love this church and to be a missionary!

We also did a super awesome activity this week about countries in Central America in order to explain the Book of Mormon better and we put on Guatemalan typical clothing and it was so fun!
And then I sang a solo about Guatemala and it was awesome! I was so nervous because there was like a billion people (blessings) but then afterwards bishop said that he wants to record me singing it to put with the "remembrances" of the missionaries that have been here. So cool I guess?

I also realized that I'm over half way done with my mission and that's so sad! BUT I love to be a missionary, I love Guatemala and most importantly I LOVE my Savior! I love this church, I love the gospel, and I love to see the changes that this gospel brings to peoples lives! I love the scriptures and I love to pray. I've been listening a lot recently to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and this is my favorite hymn:

"Have faith, have hope, live like His son. Help others on their way". We already have the truth and now it's our turn to help others! Every member a missionary! Have a good week family and as the chapines say here, Love the missionary, Mecha:)
